![]() ![]() I just wanted you all to know that I am feeling good, a bit weak.remember I have been laying in bed for 14 days now and I need to regain my strenght. I look at all of my medical issues with a heart of faith and I proceed with a positive additude.which helps me walk each rocky step. They cultured that and this morning the infectious disease doctor, he is my doctor also.he told me that I did not need to worry.just apply bactroban on the site and place drainage pads on the peg tube site, and change it three times a day. On Friday of last week which was the 23 of September.I developed a discharge from my peg site.and it was yellow and brownish. Do not frown.I am a good soldier and I have had many medical battles.but my armor is " God" and my strenght comes from my faith. It is that I never had this problem before develop and was not aware of the symptoms of what sepsis entails.so this adventure was so new to me as well.so for fourteen days until last evening I have been treated with a antibiotic for the urinary tract infection and the secondary infection of sepsis. which in all honesty.I have heard my infectious doctor tell me.that due to my malnutrition that it would be most easy for me at any time.to have the condition of velop. later that day.I learned that I had a roaring infection in the urinary track, that developed after the day I had the peg placement and from that infection.I then developed a toxic condition dure to the spread of the bacteria from the urine infection.and the infection that I was now experiencing was sepsis. They admitted me to the medical floor.and they ran a culture of my urine and did blood cultures. By the mid afternoon I was taken by wheel chair to the ajoining hospital by the doctors nurse. ![]() ![]() On my visit I was so very weary and fatigued.the doctor took me right away. So I made a appointment to see my primary at 11:30 am on that day. I decided that I was so fatigued and drained from having a fever of 202.8 that it was most out of the question that I drive with my son, who is a Vet.to Rochester to have the I.V therapy. So I listened attentively to all of the endearing comments that were written to me.and on Wednesday I called my GI doctor in Rochester and told him what my symptoms were and asked him " What shall I do " he suggested that I either return to Rochester and have a few days of antibiotics in the hospital there.or would it be perhaps a bit more convenient and more accessible to have my home town primary doctor see me.for the treatment. The next day was the same for me.fever, chills and night sweats.something was wrong and my body was on fire. I came home that evening and I was burning up with fever. I had the peg tube placement done in Rochester, New York on September the 12th. I have just gotten back home from a long two week hospital stay. ![]()
